 My husband sent this story to me in an email.  The meaning of the story is something that I have always tried to do each day and so I wanted to share it with you.  As I have always said, "life is short, so eat your dessert first".  Enjoy your week and remember to stop and smell the roses along the way. Hard to believe the holidays are around the corner. I wish you and your families a wonderful holiday season. All is well here in Florida..... The weather is not frightful  the weather is very delightful Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! 

Finally, after a very long hot and humid summer it is a very comfortable 64 degrees outside.  My windows are open for the first time since maybe April. A cold front, yes you are reading the correctly, has passed through last evening.  A cold front is something us Floridian's look forward to about now.  After you have months and months of temperatures in the 90's and only mid 70's at night and humidity that you just cannot explain to anyone because they have to experience it themselves.  A cold front is something you wish for!  I know boohoo.....I still am wearing shorts, no long pants or sweatshirts!  Have a great week to all.

This was taken the weekend of Hurricane Isaac.  The gulf was so calm you never knew there was a storm out there!  On of my favorites!

 from our cabin overlooking the bay at Tween Water Resort  they even have a marina  and they say a storm in approaching....  where I ask????  ahhhh...the warm sand between my toes....ahhhhh....  I guess others decided to leave which left the beach deserted  awesome sunsets  breath taking views to a wonderful weekend with truly great friends!!

They say that life isn't fair.  I have always said life is what you make of it; that you are in control of your destiny.  God will be there to steer you when you need it.  However sometimes you ignore the direction he is telling you to go and you head down the wrong path.  You get deeper and deeper on that path and you find you just cannot turn around to get back to where you belong and hopefully you stop and ask yourself how can I get back.  Other times you believe you can get back on your own without asking for help because you don't want anyone to know you have lost your way.   My daughter was on that wrong path and she just could not get back and she did not stop and ask for help.   She thought they were her friends but she could not see that because the demons had a greater hold on her; greater than anyone can imagine.  Unfortunately she left us last month and is now is a better place.   My heart hurts but I know in my mind that I...
