Jewelry Thursday...#2

I was trying to figure out which piece of jewelry to display today but simply ran out of time. With helping Beverly paint my dining room ceiling and then doing snow removal yesterday for the 2 or so inches we received I was pooped. So here are a few pics of some of my jewelry making stuff.

Now since you really don't know me here is a quick history. When I learn something new and start doing whatever it is, it is never half way. I get into it...full force. So I have all kinds of beads and Swarovski crystals and pendants and well you name it I have it.

I recently purchased tools and supplies to make stamped jewelry. The kind that may have your children's names hammered onto a round sterling silver disc hanging from a charm bracelet or necklace. I also have been teaching myself how to make all sterling silver bracelets with what they call jump rings. The technical name is chain maille. And I also started making soy wax candles with my daughter's help. So I have all kinds of stuff going on. So keep watching you never know what I may post next. Have a great day where ever you are !!

This past weekend I was visiting with my old neighbor at her home in Michigan. September is very nice in the Grand Rapids area, warm days and cooler nights. It was refreshing to escape the humidity of SW Florida. There are sooooo many apple orchards in the area, and she chose one that she had not been too.  So here are just a few pictures.  No pumpkin patch or pumpkins.  Enjoy!

September 10, 2017 is a date that I will remember for a long time.  It is like 9/11, we remember where we were and what we were doing at a particular moment in time. The days leading up to September 10 were very busy, not only in my personal life, but at the office and with our staff.  Making sure that before we left that Friday we had all our equipment away from windows, stuffed in closets and covered with trash bags, just in case.  Everything was moved but the desks.  It had been a long time since the desks were that empty, almost like we were moving either into or out of this office.  Also, keeping in contact with the staff to make sure everyone was safe.  The plan was that I would text everyone several times a day and they needed to respond to me that all was okay.  They did a great job keeping up with this throughout the storm and afterwards. New addition update....

...adding to the existing 4 legged creatures could be closer than I realize.  No, it's not Mushi or Christmas Cookie or even Trevor.  They are two little dogs that were rescued from a back yard breeder.  Now I'm only taking one because my husband would blow a gasket if I came home with both of them.  Although it could be tempting.  Here is a picture their foster mom sent me.  Right now their names are Meatball and Taco but as I  will be changing his name.  I'm leaning towards Trevor or Tanner but that too could change. So on Friday Colby and I will be taking a road trip, 2 hours west of our Pennsylvania home, to meet these little fur kids and see, hopefully, which one he gets along with.  You never know he may not like either of them.  So remember if you thinking of adding a pet to your home and not sure if you want the puppy route, look into adopting.  There are so many pets out there that need furever homes and got to where ...
